The recent outbreak of violence and caustic rhetoric against the United States promulgated by the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party is unfortunate, as was the accidental violence against the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Belgrade.

To state fully for the record, "Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda is opposed to the use of any force, legal or otherwise, by any party to achieve the realization of short term goals. The lethal attack against the Chinese embassy in Belgrade will be a sad day to remember. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families and victims of this callous error and we hope that the Chinese people will also understand our shock and dismay at this terrible event."

We hope that these recent events do not discolor the mutual affection and good will that exists between the people of China and the United States. Far from the government offices which provided the targeting data are regular people who desire for a strong China, free-minded and guided by the principles of democracy, the fundamental principles of human rights, and the rule of law.

Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda recognizes that this is a sensitive time for US-China relations, however, our plans are unchanged for our conference to be held on May 15-16, 1999 in Orlando, Florida, entitled "Exposing Communist Chinese Government Influence In America."
