People's Party
Standing in solidarity with the people of Inner Mongolia, Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda gathered again in front of the Communist Chinese government owned and operated propaganda theme park known as Florida Splendid China theme park to commemorate the 54th anniversary of the takeover of Inner Mongolia.
Those attending stood with their signs and flags for two hours beginning at noon on Saturday April 28, 2001. Some of the signs read "Free Inner Mongolia", "China Lies - Freedom Dies", "One Taiwan - One China", "China=Tibet's Death". The flags of the countries of the United States, Tibet, Eastern Turkestan and the flag of the Inner Mongolian People's Party were flown.

As noted on other occasions, the traffic into Florida Splendid China is normally light, but despite the thousands of people visiting DisneyWorld just two miles away, it appears to at least one observer that people visiting Splendid China has dramatically decreased, even with the recent cash infusion from Beijing. Many people that turned into Splendid China came back out much sooner than the suggested six hours required to view the exhibits, one observer mentioned the presence of the timeshare sales and the "Orlando welcome center" as possible reasons for their visit.

Those gathered discussed the recent birthday of the Panchen Lama, Gendun Choekyi Nyima, the world's youngest political prisoner at twelve years old. Rebiya Kadeer, the Uyghur grandmother from Eastern Turkestan in prison for sending newspapers to her husband in the US, and Mr. Hadaa, who opened a bookstore in his native Inner Mongolia and wrote an unapproved account of Inner Mongolian history, were also talked about.

One offending note of the day was the carcass of a dead opossum at the main gate of Florida Splendid China. The presence of dead animals is not an unknown phenomena in front of Florida Splendid China, as the pictures of the Turkey Buzzards from last year's commemoration of the 53rd anniversary of the Communist Chinese takeover of Inner Mongolia indicate.

Due to the recent arrival of the largest Eastern Turkestan flag south of the Mason-Dixon line, members hoisted the flag high in front of the largest Chinese-style gate in the US. Dedicated to the memory of the five men who were executed for hanging the same flag from the statue of Chairman Mao in their city of Kashgar, Eastern Turkestan (CNN, AI, UAA) in June 1997.

The opossum was not threatened, the pictures are unmodified.
