Citizens Mark 7th Anniversary of Grand Opening of Florida Splendid China
Link to Coverage
Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda gathered to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the Grand Opening of Florida Splendid China at noon on the 16th of December 2000. Many passing cars signalled their agreement with our cause by waving or beeping their horns. Theme park attendance is still low, most of the cars that drove into Florida Splendid China stayed less than thirty minutes, not enough time to even see 'ChinaTown.'
The outside of the park is being mowed again and a new coat of paint has been added to the Main Gate. Along with the modifications to the sign on US-192 (Irlo Bronson Highway) that removed reference to 'ChinaTown' and the other updated signs, Florida Splendid China must have suffered an influx of cash in the recent past.
The new 'Acting-President' of Florida Splendid China, Mr. Chow greeted the demonstrators with a 'Hawaiian Good Luck' hand gesture as he drove in the park. Later, on his way out, observers watched him dragging some large objects from out of the median into the bushes along Formosa Gardens Boulevard.

A group of dedicated volunteers who are against the inclusion of
'minority' and religious exhibits at the Chinese Communist Party
owned and operated Florida Splendid China theme park in Kissimmee,
Florida.
Specifically, we are protesting the inclusion of the Potala Palace
that was built by the Tibetan people and served as the home of
successive Dalai Lamas since 1645, the Id Gah Mosque and Tomb of
Abakh Hoja which serve as cultural icons of the people of Eastern
Turkestan and the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan and the Mongolian Yurt
exhibit which attempt to add a Chinese name to the Southern Mongolian
people.
