Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda announce a protest demonstration for the Florida Splendid China theme park for 9 AM on Sunday, October 13, 1996.

Press Release
Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda

This demonstration is being held to call attention to the plight of the Eastern Turkestani people on the anniversary of the Communist Chinese takeover of Eastern Turkestan forty-seven years ago.

We reject the implication that Eastern Turkestanis are Chinese as demonstrated by the inclusion of the Id Gah Mosque and the Tomb of Abaugh Hoja replicas. We also reject the other 'minority' exhibits as part of the same propaganda plan that is attempting to white-wash the Peoples Republic of China's role in the suppression of the minority peoples. The Potala Palace that represents the Dalai Lama, Tibet, and his people should also be removed, as Tibetans are not Chinese, likewise, the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan replica represents a truly Mongolian cultural and almost religious icon and can't be considered Chinese. These were all sovereign nations prior to takeover by the Communist Chinese Party and the People's Republic of China.

We stand ready to negotiate with the management of the theme park, but all of our correspondence has gone unanswered.

Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda is a group of interested individuals devoted to the non-violent and legal removal of religious and minority exhibits from the Communist Chinese government owned and controlled theme park known as Florida Splendid China in Kissimmee, Fla.
