Statement
Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda (CACCP) is a loose-knit organization of individuals opposed to certain exhibits in the Chinese government owned and operated propaganda theme park known as Florida Splendid China. CACCP is an all-volunteer organization that does not receive or accept donations from individuals or organizations except for clearly identified one-time only projects such as our conferences. Previously, CACCP did solicit donations for our quarterly newsletter, but the donations were not adequate to pay for copying and postage fees. The last issue was sent out in February 1997 after eight issues.
CACCP is dedicated to peaceful, legal expressions of speech in pursuit of our goals. CACCP believes in working within the framework of the law and will not accept assistance or aid from organizations whose goals are counter to those principles.
Furthermore, CACCP flatly refuses assistance or aid from any organization or individual that espouses or promotes hatred or intolerance in any form.
CACCP is opposed to violence or illegal means as an end to achieve our goals. If CACCP becomes aware that either illegal or violent activities are either planned or being planned, CACCP will notify law enforcement authorities to distance ourselves from that behavior and ensure that the perpetrators are either prevented from completing their plans or ultimately prosecuted for their mischief.
Violent acts incite further violent acts, form barriers between people, and devalue our human existence. As equal partners in the future of humankind, we all share the responsibility (whether we chose to accept it or not) to recognize and understand the shared nature of our human existence, to build bridges between people, and progress on a path to a brighter future for all humankind.
In taking this stand, CACCP has removed links to resources from our web-site that call for confrontational action. CACCP does not take a position on any issue, except for the inclusion of Tibetan, Mongolian, Uyghur and religious exhibits at the Chinese government owned and operated propaganda theme park known as Florida Splendid China. CACCP will not use confrontation nor provide resources for those tactics. Also removed were the frequencies for numerous government agencies that have jurisdiction in the general area.
CACCP neither encourages nor discourages others to behave differently. The members of CACCP are fortunate to live in a country where freedom of speech is a legal mandate, and we are able to reveal deceitful tactics and dishonest propaganda wherever they occur, and fight openly and honestly for the principles of right and justice.
