Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda will commemorate the 54th anniversary of the Chinese Communist takeover of Inner Mongolia at noon on the 28th of April 2001. The location will be at the main gate of the Chinese government owned and operated propaganda theme park known as Florida Splendid China.
Since the opening of the park in December 1993, concerned citizens have repeatedly written letters asking for the attraction's management to sit down and talk about the inaccuracies of five of the exhibits (out of 60). Due to the lack of response from those in charge at Florida Splendid China, Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda (CACCP) was formed to focus and highlight the opposition to the propaganda theme park in an effort to bring both sides to the table. April 28th represents the 41st demonstration in front of Florida Splendid China since it opened and continues the bimonthly schedule maintained by CACCP.
According to CACCP Coordinator Jack Churchward, "Our goal has been to either change or remove the disputed exhibits through peaceful, legal actions. It is outrageous that the theme park management is unwilling to speak with us either directly or through a third party about five exhibits out of sixty. One might think that the estimated losses of over $25,000 a day would persuade the fourth new manager to talk to local citizens about their concerns and resolve the conflict."
The Inner Mongolian people lived in a completely autonomous region under the Manchu rulers of China. After the fall of the Manchu Dynasty, the leaders of Inner Mongolia attempted to preserve their autonomy, but the weak nationalist Chinese government was unable to fulfill their promises or protect Inner Mongolia from the Japanese invasion. Eventually, Communist Chinese forces 'liberated' Inner Mongolia and began jailing the leaders and bringing the Mongols under their firm control. The inclusion of the so-called Mausoleum of Genghis Khan exhibit, a Communist Chinese government built structure, is wrong, as the structure was used to contain and eliminate the centuries old customs and ceremonies to Genghis Khan. The inclusion of the Mongolian Yurt exhibit is likewise an affront to the truth and history, as Communist Chinese policies outlawed the nomadic lifestyle that is represented by the Yurt.

Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda is a group of dedicated volunteers who are against the inclusion of 'minority' and religious exhibits at the Chinese Communist Party owned and operated Florida Splendid China theme park in Kissimmee, Florida.
Specifically, we are protesting the inclusion of the Potala Palace that was built by the Tibetan people and served as the home of successive Dalai Lamas since 1645, the Id Gah Mosque and Tomb of Abakh Hoja which serve as cultural icons of the people of Eastern Turkestan and the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan and the Mongolian Yurt exhibit which attempt to add a Chinese name to the Southern Mongolian people.
