On the March 11, 2000, Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda
have scheduled a commemoration/demonstration to begin at 12noon. This
will be the 6th demonstration to commemorate Tibetan Uprising Day at
the theme park and the 34th at the park since the opening in 1993.
The demonstration is being held to call attention to the plight of
the Tibetan people on the anniversary of the 1959 Tibetan Uprising.
On this day, fourty-one years ago, thousands of Tibetans formed a
wall in advance of advancing Communist People's Liberation Army (PLA)
troops to protect His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Days later, these
same army troops bombarded the Potala Palace, the home of the Dalai
Lama and an exhibit at the Splendid China theme park, which is owned,
operated, and controlled by the People's Republic of China and the
Chinese Communist Party.
We reject the implication that Tibetans are Chinese as demonstrated
by the Potala Palace exhibit. We also reject the Mongolian and
Eastern Turkestani exhibits as part of the same propaganda plan that
is attempting to white-wash the Peoples Republic of China's role in
the continued brutal occupation of their homelands.
We also stand opposed to the nomalization of trade relations with the
People's Republic of China and the recent Chinese government White
Paper that threatens the freedoms and liberty enjoyed by the people
of Taiwan.

Citizens Against Communist Chinese Propaganda is a group of dedicated volunteers who are against the inclusion of 'minority' and religious exhibits at the Chinese Communist Party owned and operated Florida Splendid China theme park in Kissimmee, Florida. Specifically, we are protesting the inclusion of the Potala Palace that was built by the Tibetan people and served as the home of successive Dalai Lamas since 1645, the Id Gah Mosque and Tomb of Abakh Hoja which serve as cultural icons of the people of Eastern Turkestan and the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan and the Mongolian Yurt exhibit which attempt to add a Chinese name to the Southern Mongolian people.
